A 9-year-old girl from Monmouth County is getting get her big break on stage.

Alex Bradley, of Rumson, is performing in the national tour of "The Sound of Music." The show will make a stop at the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank on Feb. 23 and 24. Bradley has been traveling across the country with the show since September.

“It’s really, really fun. We get to see all the new cities, explore the cities and do fun stuff,” she says.

Bradley appears as either the character of Marta or Gretl in the classic musical. Bradley will be in the performances until June.

She says that one day she hopes to be on the Disney Channel or appear on Broadway.

“The Sound of Music” will have four performances in Red Bank. Ticket information can be found on the Count Basie website.
