Local leaders honored those Bronx residents killed eight years ago in the Sept. 11 attacks on the World Trade Center Wednesday.

The ceremony, which was held outside the Bronx Courthouse, included a reading of all 143 names of those police officers, firefighters and "everyday New Yorkers" from the Bronx whose lives were lost. Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. said the memorial featured song and dance to celebrate the victims' lives.

Sally Regenhard, who lost her son on 9/11, says she is disappointed a museum and proper memorial has yet to be built. Officials say the Freedom Tower memorial will be erected after 2011.
