A piece of steel from the World Trade Center was dedicated in memory of a 9/11 firefighter on Saturday in Sayreville.
Owen Thomas Carlock was instrumental in getting the Morgan Hose and Chemical Company started.
His fellow firefighters say he passed away from 9/11 related illnesses.
"...He was my best friend," said John Dargotta of the Morgan Hose and Chemical Company. "But we knew we had to do this. It's an honor he could want us to keep going..."
Carlock served over 20 years in the New York City Fire Department before becoming a volunteer firefighter at the Morgan Hose and Chemical Company fire house in Sayreville.
