An unusual visitor is getting an early start to summer down at the Jersey Shore.

Nori – a juvenile white shark – was spotted miles off the coast between Seaside Heights and Long Beach.

The almost-9-foot female was first tagged back in October in Nova Scotia.

Nori’s name means “seaweed” in Japanese. It celebrates the beauty and strength of ocean life.

You can track Nori and many other sharks swimming around the world by visiting Ocearch.org.
