Police in Manchester say an unknown medical emergency appears to be what caused an 80-year-old woman to die in a car crash in the Whiting section of the township.
Officials say Patricia Ford, of Whiting, was driving a 2018 Ford EcoSport Saturday night when she accelerated through a stop sign and ran off the road.
The car drove over a curb, hitting a fence and trees near New Mexico Drive and Washington Lane. Officials say Ford was not wearing a seatbelt.
She was transported to Community Medical Center, where she later died. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
