There were some scary moments for some amusement park riders when Seaside Heights’s new roller coaster got stuck.
Eight passengers were rescued from the Hydrus roller coaster, the brand-new ride at Casino Pier.
A video posted on social media showed the passengers suspended above the boardwalk around 5 p.m. Wednesday as rescue workers approached the stuck car.
The new coaster officially opened in May.
It replaced the Jet Star roller coaster that was destroyed by Superstorm Sandy.
