A 74-year-old man was struck by a car in Long Branch Monday night and later died at a hospital.
It happened near Route 36 and Branchport Avenue.
Police say Fernando Pinho was crossing the street when he was hit by a BMW SUV. He was pronounced dead at Monmouth Medical Center.
The driver remained on scene and was not charged with any crimes.
