A major car accident shut down parts of Route 3 in Bergen County Wednesday night.
According to the Rutherford Police Department, six vehicles were involved in a crash on Route 3 West near Route 17.
All westbound lanes in Rutherford were shut down while crews attended to the crash.
According to the New Jersey Department of Transportation, there were some injuries in the crash, but the extent of those injuries were not immediately known.
Traffic was being detoured in the area.
