(AP) - Five Muslim immigrants face up to life in prison when they're sentenced in April for conspiring to kill soldiers at Fort Dix.
Jurors reached the verdict Monday after deliberating about 38hours over six days. The defendants were acquitted of attempted murder charges.
The judge read a statement from the jurors in which they saidthey were confident they had reached their verdicts fairly andimpartially. The government said the case demonstrated its post-Sept. 11determination to stop terrorist attacks in the planning stages.
Defense lawyers claimed the alleged plot was all talk and theirclients were goaded by two paid FBI informants.
