Police say four people were found dead inside a fifth-floor apartment at 2225 Lacombe Ave. in Castle Hill on Wednesday.
They arrived at the NYCHA complex around 9:30 a.m. to find a 44-year-old man, a 75-year-old woman, a 26-year-old woman and an unidentified man in his 20s all dead inside the apartment.
Police identified the four people as 75-year-old Theresa Stukes, 26-year-old Kianna Stukes, 44-year-old Kaseem Stukes and 33-year-old Andrew Reynoso.
Sources allege Kaseem Stukes killed his mother, daughter and her boyfriend before he turned the gun on himself.
A family member told News 12 that Kaseem called his son who lives in North Carolina prior to the incident and told him to "check on his family" before he allegedly carried out the killings.
One body was by the couch, one was by the door and two were in the back of the apartment.
Police sources told News 12 all the bodies had trauma, and they recovered a firearm at the scene.
Kaseem Stukes was scheduled to appear in court on the same day for a gun charge. The Bronx District Attorney's Office says they were set to dismiss the case due to a lack of new evidence.
Stukes was arrested and charged in May 2025 for a September 2024 gun possession. In 2013, he was arrested for gun possession and served a 1 1/2- year sentence.
News 12 spoke with a neighbor named Cookie, who described who she thought the victims were.
"It was Stukes, his daughter, her boyfriend and their mother. They're all up there in the apartment, dead," she said.
Another neighbor who declined to give his name said he spoke with the 44-year-old man, Kaseem Stukes, earlier Wednesday morning.
A neighbor who said they spoke to the man said he seemed scared an agitated.
"Take care of your family," he told the man. "You're not going to see me anymore."
Multiple neighbors told News 12 they loved the 75-year-old woman.
"She was a good person, a celebrity, I call her the golden girl, and she was a wonderful person," said Jeanette Martinez, a resident at 2225 Lacombe Ave., about the woman.
Another neighbor described Theresa as the "golden girl" of the building, and said she has known her since the 80's.
"We called her the golden lady, she was the matriarch of the building, I could not believe this, she always gave advice, how she felt was how she said it," one tenant who asked to remain anonymous said.
Police were seen taking bodies out of the apartment in bags, aswell as evidence on Wednesday evening.
The Office of the Medical Examiner is investigating their cause of death.
