Police say four people were injured in a slashing in University Heights early Sunday morning.
It occurred at around 4 a.m. near Jerome Avenue and North Street.
Police say the four victims people were all slashed in the face. The victims included a 19-year-old female, a 19-year-old male, a 49-year-old female and a 64-year-old female, according to officials.
Investigators say the suspect turned up at a gathering where he was not welcome. After the victims escorted him out, he returned to get his jacket, then pulled out a knife and slashed them, police say.
The victims were taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition.
No arrests have been made, although police questioned another male who had arrived at the gathering with the suspect.
The suspect is described as a man with dreadlocks who stands at about 6 foot 5 inches tall. He wore gray pants and a black shirt, according to police.
