Three people were rescued from their cars by fire crews Saturday morning after floodwaters raged high.
The rescue happened in the area of Frelinghuysen Avenue in Newark just after 5:30 a.m.
Crews had to use a boat to rescue two people, and a fire engine was used to save another.
Firefighters also retrieved several abandoned vehicles.
