Suspect charged in violent beating of MTA bus driver in Yonkers

Two incidents of violence happened over the weekend close to Rowan University.

Police say three people were stabbed Friday after a fight broke out near Oakwood and Whitney avenues around 11 p.m.

Authorities say the three people that were stabbed are expected to be OK. The suspect was arrested and charged.

And a fight broke out Sunday at different party on the other side of campus near the 300 block of North Main Street. Police say one person was shot in the foot. The victim was transported to the hospital.

Police say residents at the party said they attempted to remove a person from their party and a physical altercation ensued outside. The suspect is still on the loose.
