3 juveniles injured in shooting, vehicle strike outside Deerfield Township graduation party

Three juveniles were injured after a shooting and vehicle strike outside a graduation party in Deerfield Township late Friday night, New Jersey State Police said.

Troopers responded at approximately 11:42 p.m. to a shooting at a residence on Elm Street in Cumberland County.

According to a preliminary investigation, a verbal altercation broke out between two suspects following a motor vehicle collision outside the home, where a graduation party was taking place.

During the altercation, multiple gunshots were fired, police said. A juvenile girl was struck once in the leg and two juvenile boys suffered serious injuries after being struck by a fleeing vehicle.

No additional information was immediately available.
