Three former New Jersey school officials and a fourth person have been indicted in an alleged scheme to get free child care for one of their children.
The officials worked for the Brick school district in Ocean County.
Those indicted on Tuesday were former superintendent Walter Uszenski, former interim director of public services Andrew Morgan and former academic officer Lorraine Morgan.
Also charged was Walter Uszenski's daughter, Jacqueline Halsey.
The four face counts including official misconduct and theft by deception.
The Ocean County prosecutor's office alleges that Jacqueline Halsey's preschool-aged child illegally received educational and other services at public expense, believed to be more than $50,000.
It wasn't known Tuesday if the defendants had retained attorneys who could comment on the charges.
