With Halloween over, stores across New Jersey are already switching to Christmas merchandise as the holiday shopping season gets underway.
While some shoppers may think Nov. 1 is too early for Christmas decorations, one Monmouth County store owner says customers are eager to get started.
"People are really starting early. Yesterday I must've had like 40 people in here looking for Christmas stuff," said Dave Horton, owner of Ace Hardware in Manasquan. "It's like a one stop shop for Christmas."
For shoppers looking to get an early start on holiday decorating, Christmas merchandise is already hitting store shelves.
