Two men are wanted for their role in a shots-fired incident at a North Amityville park that recklessly endangered a child earlier this week.

Investigators said two men with handguns approached two other men with a child at Bolden Mack Park at 3453 Great Neck Rd. around 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5.

One of the men struck one of the adult victims with a pistol, causing a shot to be fired.

No one was struck by the bullet.

Earlier this week, Suffolk County police said they responded to the park after they got an alert from the ShotSpotter system.

Video showed detectives canvassing the park, including an area by a fence. Today, police released a picture of the two men they're trying to identify, holding up weapons, in that same spot.

Suffolk County Police Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest by calling 1-800-220-TIPS.
