A documentary about the late comedian Jackie Mason was filming in Rockland County on Friday, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the production.
The filming took place during a sit-down dinner at Giulio's in Tappan.
The documentary focuses on Mason, who died in July 2021 at the age of 93.
Actors Tony Darrow and Paul Borghese, who worked with Mason on the comedy-drama film "One Angry Man," took part in the filming, reflecting on their time and relationship with him.
Mason's daughter, Sheba, who is producing the documentary, reflected on her father's impact.
"So many people looked up to him. He helped so many people through laughter," she said.
Borghese said the documentary will introduce Mason to younger audiences.
"He is such a famous comedian. The older generations know him but the newer generations don't. So it's going to be fun for them to hear more about him," she says.
Darrow also shared his memories of working with Mason,
"I had the honor of performing with him and he was a classic. There was nobody like him," he said.
The documentary is expected to be released sometime next year.
No official title has been named yet.
