Kelly Coppola and Kenny Pohlman's friends and family gathered at the beach Friday, one of Kelly's favorite places, to honor the couple who died exactly two years ago in their Saint James home.
They shared memories and placed flowers in the shape of a heart on the sand.
Kelly Coppola was "a ray of light that just wanted to make everyone so happy," her friend Michelle Gothardt said.
Kenny Pohlman "had memories to make" and "dreams to chase," his father, Kenneth Sr., told News 12.
Friends hope for this annual remembrance to continue to grow.
Loved ones are hoping the court case of accused killer Daniel Coppola, Kelly's ex, will soon come to a close, so that can find a semblance of peace or at last some sense of closure.
