A Toms River man has been sentenced to three years in state prison for threatening to kill another driver and his dog during a road rage incident in Atlantic City, according to prosecutors.

Frank Marin, 29, was sentenced Tuesday after pleading guilty to one count of 'terroristic threats.'

The incident happened Sept. 12, 2025 on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. The other driver told police he had stopped for an ambulance crossing an intersection when Marin, driving a white Nissan Altima, ran a red light and nearly struck his vehicle.

Prosecutors said the two drivers confronted each other after the near-collision. As the other driver tried to leave, Marin allegedly cut him off and threatened to kill him and his dog.

Marin then retrieved a Taser from his vehicle and approached the other driver's car, according to prosecutors. The driver moved his vehicle forward and collided with Marin's Nissan before Marin returned to his car and drove away.
