A Glassboro woman has been charged with manslaughter after authorities say her boyfriend was fatally shot during a struggle over a firearm inside a parked vehicle in Winslow Township.

Amelia G. Wilmore-Nozil, 38, is charged with manslaughter and unlawful possession of a weapon, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office and Winslow Township police.

Officers responded at about 2:03 p.m. Wednesday to the unit block of Bromley Court for a report of a person who had been shot. They found 33-year-old Domincio Fuhrtz, of Winslow Township, suffering from a gunshot wound near a parked vehicle.

Investigators said Wilmore-Nozil told them she and Fuhrtz were seated inside the vehicle when they struggled over a gun she was carrying. The gun was discharged during the struggle, hitting Fuhrtz, authorities said.

Fuhrtz was taken to Cooper University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 3:01 p.m., officials said.
