Business owners and neighbors told News 12, it's nothing new.

Residents and business owners in Elmsford are bracing for more rain. It comes just a week after some roads were briefly flooded.

Glen Preiser, owner of Glen's Towing, says either he or an employee he pays will stay to monitor the river or storm drains for flooding. He says he has it down to a science.

"If we get 2 inches of rain within a 10-hour period, I flood 100%," Preiser explained.

He says his business has been hit with too much of that through the years, including a close call just last week.

"We had to evacuate the body shop. It came right up to the building. It did not go in the building, but we had to move all the cars, all the equipment out of there," said Preiser.

It wasn't only there. News 12 previously reported about other parts of Elmsford seeing a good amount of water. That includes Valley Avenue - a portion of it was briefly closed.

Business owners and residents not far from there told News 12 that it's nothing new, but they still get on edge when that rain starts to fall.

Village and town officials told News 12 that crews went out Tuesday to clear away debris from trouble spots and drains. They added that they are continuing to work to address flooding problems around the area.
