Fifteen people were displaced after a large fire ripped through several buildings on South Main Street in Waterbury Thursday night.
The fire broke around 6 p.m. and quickly spread, engulfing roughly one-third of the block before firefighters were able to bring it under control.
Fire officials say everyone inside the affected buildings escaped safely.
One firefighter sustained an injury while battling the blaze, according to a fire captain.
Investigators are now working to determine where the fire started and what sparked it. No word yet on the extent of the damage.
