Car strikes pedestrian on road in East Northport
Authorities say the man was taken to South Shore University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

A crash left a 35-year-old pedestrian seriously injured Friday evening in East Northport.
Suffolk police say Fausto Sorto, of Brentwood, pulled over on to the shoulder of Town Line Road just after 7:30 p.m.
He stepped out and walked to the back of his vehicle when another driver traveling eastbound hit him.
Authorities say he was taken to South Shore University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
The 17-year-old driver of the other vehicle was unhurt.
