A yearlong investigation into the distribution of crystal methamphetamine has culminated in a multi-agency bust, leading to the arrest of three men and the seizure of a significant cache of drugs, weapons, and cash.
The Lakewood Police Department officially concluded “Operation Honey Pot” following the execution of multiple court-authorized search warrants across various residences and vehicles in the township.
The operation, led by the Lakewood Police Department Street Crimes Unit, resulted in the recovery of large quantities of suspected cocaine and crystal methamphetamine.
In addition to the narcotics, law enforcement seized firearms, a large amount of money, and several vehicles.
Authorities identified and arrested three Lakewood residents in connection with the ring: Geovanni Torres De Los Santos 32, Juan Torres Flores, 31, and Mauricio Garcia Monterosa, 42.
All three suspects face charges that include possession of controlled dangerous substances, possession with intent to distribute, weapons offenses, and money laundering.
"The amount of narcotics, weapons, and cash removed from our community is significant," Chief Gregory Meyer said in a statement.
While the primary search warrants have been executed, officials say the investigation remains active. Additional charges may be filed as forensic teams complete laboratory analysis of the seized substances.
