NYPD officers shot a gun-wielding suspect in West Harlem, police sources say.

The incident unfolded at West 125th Street and Amsterdam Avenue just before 6:30 p.m. Friday.

Sources tell News 12 the suspect shot a person in the chest before the officers opened fire on that suspect, striking him in the stomach.

The conditions of the victim and the gunman were not immediately made available.
