Tenants in East Flatbush are raising concerns about their four-story apartment building on Linden Boulevard.

News 12 toured about half a dozen apartments on Friday as tenants pointed out issues, including collapsed ceilings and plumbing leaks - as well as roaches and rats.

“They’re jumping on my feet!” said Lore Dana Ross, a tenant. “It’s very, very frustrating because most of the nights we don’t even get sleep.”

Some tenants said they have spent thousands of dollars to make their own temporary repairs.

“I buy the sheetrock and ask somebody to [fix it], but because it’s still leaking. They haven’t come to finish the job,” said Sharon Lee, another tenant.

HPD’s website showed that the building had more than 900 violations.

Tenants told News 12 that the agency has made some renovations to the rent-stabilized complex thanks to a city program.

Multiple tenants said they have been withholding their rent since the landlord passed away almost two years ago - because they claimed they did not know for sure who the new landlord was.

They told News 12 that men have walked around the building handing out packets from Pink Holding New York LLC.

“We tried calling them, and nobody answered,” said Ross.

According to the HPD website, Pink Holding New York has been listed as the registered property owner since December 2025.

“We don’t mind paying our rent, but we want to know we are sending it to the right people,” said Lee.

HPD released the following statement:

"All tenants deserve safe housing they can come home to. The agency enrolled the building in the Alternative Enforcement Program to bring it into compliance, holding the landlord to strict requirements and, when needed, stepping in through the Emergency Repair Program to correct hazardous conditions and protect tenants."
