The wildfire in the area of Red Bank Avenue and Hessian Avenue in West Deptford Township is now fully contained as of Saturday 6 p.m.
The fire burned approximately 160 acres before crews were able to extinguish it.
Crews from the New Jersey Forest Fire Service will remain in the area for the next several hours to continue reinforcing containment lines and addressing any remaining hotspots. While the fire is contained, light smoke may still be visible until the area receives significant rainfall.
There were no structures threatened and no evacuations ordered at any point during the incident.
Red Bank Avenue has since reopened to traffic.
