A horse slated to race at Monmouth Park Racetrack took off down Route 36 on Sunday – a sight capture on video and posted on social media.
In the video, the horse is trotting past a Dunkin’ as a pickup truck slows down next to it.
According to published reports, the horse, named Hawkstone, became spooked and broke free through an open gate. The horse was said to be fine.
