Authorities identify Newark man found in Passaic River

Prosecutors say he was pulled from the river last week. News 12 first reported his disappearance in December after he was last seen leaving the Essex County Hospital Center in Cedar Grove.

Law enforcement in Morris County have identified a body found in the Passaic River as 21-year-old Timothy Robinson, from Newark.

Prosecutors say he was pulled from the river last week. News 12 first reported his disappearance in December after he was last seen leaving the Essex County Hospital Center in Cedar Grove.

State police say Robinson was developmentally delayed.

Investigators haven't determined his cause of death but say it's not considered criminal.
