36-year-old man identified in Red Bank fatal shooting

A 36-year-old man has been identified as one of the victims in last week’s shooting in Red Bank that left one dead and another injured.

The shooting on July 10 happened on the 100 block of River Street. Monmouth County prosecutors say Mikal Muhammad, of Red Bank, died at the scene while another man was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

The other victim, who has not been identified, was treated and released from the hospital, according to prosecutors.

Authorities are still searching for the suspect. The shooting is being investigated by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Red Bank Police Department.
