Mays Landing man pleads guilty to murdering his mother
Prosecutors say Sean Daly will be sentenced on Oct. 11.

A Mays Landing man pleaded guilty on Friday to first-degree murder in the March death of his mother.
Hamilton police say they found Sean Daly's 74-year-old mother, Melba Daly, stabbed to death inside of a home on Quinn Avenue on March 20. Atlantic County prosecutors say Daly, 53, confessed to murdering his mother during an interview with members of the Major Crimes Unit and the Hamilton Township Police Department.

Prosecutors say Daly will be sentenced on Oct. 11. He's expected to be sentenced to 30 years in state prison without the possibility of parole.
The case was investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit, with the assistance of the Hamilton Township Police Department.
