A state trooper who fatally shot a Brooklyn, CT man last year was found to have acted within the law, according to a state investigation.

State Trooper Romello Lumpkin said he went to the home of Byron Harvey on a court-ordered eviction.

Lumpkin said Harvey refused to leave and made threats with a knife.

Troopers say they tried to calm Harvey down until he came at them with the knife.

That's when Lumpkin fired.

The Office of the Inspector General said no further action will be taken.
