The Frelinghuysen Township Volunteer Fire Company responded to their first emergency call since being approved for active service by the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety.
Authorities say a driver swerved to avoid an animal crossing on Route 94 near Spring Valley and Silver Lake Roads.
The car was towed but no injuries were reported. The building and overhang are also being checked for safety.
