Ex-Bedford Town justice censured by judge for professional misconduct

An appellate court has upheld a decision by the state Commission on Judicial Conduct of Eric Jacobsen, who pleaded guilty in 2020 for drunk driving.
During the incident, county police had to user a taser to remove Jacobsen from his vehicle and subsequently handcuff him. He was removed as justice shortly after his arrest.
Jacobsen was sentenced in 2020 to a one-year conditional discharge, had his driver's license revoked for six months and had to maintain an ignition interlock device on his vehicles for one year.
The court said Jacobsen endangered the lives of the public when he chose to drink alcohol and drive.
