Officials: School bus driver who crashed into Howell home issued summonses

Police say the 22-year-old fell asleep behind the wheel. He was issued tickets for careless driving and no seatbelt.

A school bus driver who crashed the vehicle into a Howell Township home on Tuesday has been issued two summonses.

Police say the 22-year-old fell asleep behind the wheel. He was issued tickets for careless driving and no seatbelt.

Police say that no students were on the bus at the time of the crash. No one in the home was hurt.

Officials say the home suffered major structural damage. The family is not able to stay in the home for the time being.
