Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two people accused of assaulting a man Monday in Newark.
Authorities say the incident began on the 200 block of Ferry Street. The victim exited a building with a friend, and the two suspects began to make insulting comments about them.
The victim approached the suspects inside a parking lot across the street, only to be pushed to the ground and hit in the head with a blunt object.
Police say the suspects fled the scene in a white vehicle. The victim was hospitalized in stable condition.
