Two men from New Jersey are part of a group of 337 people across the globe arrested and charged as part of a massive child pornography ring shut down by the Department of Justice.
The agency announced Wednesday the shutdown of the largest darknet child pornography site, allegedly run by a South Korean national.
That person is facing charges in the U.S. and South Korea.
Andrew Chu, 28, of Garwood, was arrested and charged with receipt of child pornography. The charges remain pending.
Nader Hamdi Ahmed, 29, of Jersey City, was arrested for sexual exploitation or other abuse of children.
According to officials, child exploitation videos were being bought through Bitcoin.
People arrested were from countries such as the U.S., South Korea, Germany, among others.
One of the U.S. arrests involved a former ICE special agent.
The DOJ says 23 minor victims were also rescued in the U.S., Spain and the U.K.
