Police have two more suspects in custody for the deadly robbery of a Kearny jewelry store back in August.
The two men are accused in the murder of Xavier Egoavil, 47. Egoavil was shot and killed during a struggle while three men robbed Rachel Jewelers, a store owned by his father.
John De Rosa, 51, was arrested Tuesday morning after being spotted in a taxi. He is believed to be the gunman. De Rosa faces murder, weapons and armed robbery charges.
Suspected accomplice and Bloomfield resident Edmir Sokoli, 23, later turned himself in Tuesday afternoon.
Police previously arrested 24-year old Elvis Fertovic, of Bloomfield, who is suspected of serving as the other two's getaway driver. Fertovic is charged with felony murder.
