Two men have died after they were struck by a car while attempting to cross Route 440 in Bayonne Monday night, according to officials.
Investigators say that Tyler Sellers, 20, and Sabore Worrell, 25, were struck by a red Toyota Camry just after they left the South Gove Commons Shopping Plaza at around 11 p.m. The men were trying to cross the street when they were hit.
Police on scene would not say if the men or the driver of the Camry had the right of way. The driver who struck the men stayed on scene and is not expected to face any charges.
Bayonne police say that they will use security video from the area to determine how the accident happened.
