Two men have been killed in separate shootings in Jersey City that also left three women wounded.
The first shooting occurred early Sunday on Van Wagenen Avenue.
Police found 35-year-old Shaheer Parson dead at the scene with gunshots to his upper body. Three women were taken to a hospital with gunshots that police say were not considered life-threatening.
The women all remained in stable condition Monday.
The second shooting occurred around 1:30 a.m. Monday on Van Horne Street. Authorities say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, but further details on the shooting were not disclosed.
Authorities say motives for both shootings remain under investigation. No arrests have been made in either case.
