Police say two people are dead and another is in serious condition after an accident that occurred at around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Herman Chandler was allegedly drunk when his car slammed in to a cab at Grove and Grand streets in Jersey City. The cab caught on fire before hitting a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, identified as Jairo Camelo, died a short time later, according to police. The cab driver was seriously injured and his passenger, James Fuller, also died of his injuries.
According to police, Chandler is currently in jail.
