This morning's commute on the Bronx River Parkway ended tragically for two people involved in a multi-car accident.
Police say three people were involved in the accident. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The other two, a 26-year-old male and a 27-year-old male, were transported to Jacobi Medical Center. One was pronounced dead on arrival and the other remains in critical condition.
One of the cars involved in the accident was mangled and split in half. Rescuers needed the Jaws of Life to pull one victim out. Police put up white sheets to cover the graphic scene.
Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
