Two men on bicycles were struck by a vehicle in Paramus this morning.
It happened on Midland Avenue near Cardinal Place shortly before 5 a.m. Officials say a man driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee struck the cyclists near Country Club Road.
Both bicyclists were rushed to Hackensack University Medical Center. Their identities have not yet been released. Officials say one of the men is in critical condition, and the other is listed in stable condition.
The driver remained at the scene and was interviewed by police.
Paramus police and the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office were at the scene to investigate. 
Investigators have not yet said whether speed was a factor in the crash. No charges have been filed at this point.
Local residents say the street is a major one, and it is not unusual to see cars speeding down Midland Avenue.
