North Brunswick police were led on a chase stretching into Edison Township Thursday following a fatal shooting.

The victim has only been identified as a 30-year-old man. Authorities say he was gunned down in his driveway at the Heathwood Apartment Complex off Boice Drive. Police are remaining tight-lipped about the situation, but witnesses say they heard gunshots in the middle of the day. They describe the complex as typically quiet and safe.

Two men were apprehended and taken into custody after a chase along Route 1. Their names are being withheld until they're formally charged. The victim's name is not being released until family members have been contacted.
