One person was hurt Wednesday in a three-alarm house fire in Lodi, fire officials said.
The fire was reported around 8 a.m. at a home on Spring Street. Firefighters said they arrived at the scene and found heavy flames coming from the home’s attic.
Officials said Lodi police removed one person from the home for smoke inhalation. Two cats that were also inside the home were missing.
Assistant Fire Chief Steven Cassiello said the cold weather slowed firefighters down a bit, but he commended all the companies who responded for working fast.
"It's tough having a winter fire. We had one fire hydrant frozen, which really delayed getting water. But they're tremendous firefighters who got the job done,” said Cassiello.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, he said.
