The Essex County Prosecutor's Office is investigating both a deadly shooting and a deadly stabbing in Newark.
They say Dario Rodriguez was discovered stabbed to death in his Ironbound apartment early Friday.
Another man was fatally shot in the city Friday night. Officials say Alim Abdul-Ghafer was shot and killed on Washington Street just before 9 p.m.
It's been a violent week for the city. Police say on Wednesday night, 29-year-old Bashir Edwards died in a shooting that left four other people hurt.
And they say on Monday a couple was found dead in their Upper Clinton Hill apartment.
