(AP) - One person was killed and three policeofficers were injured early Sunday when fire roared through a motelin Lakewood. Dozens of others at the Capitol Motel - includingseveral residents and staffers

(AP) - One person was killed and three policeofficers were injured early Sunday when fire roared through a motelin Lakewood.
Dozens of others at the Capitol Motel - includingseveral residents and staffers - were able to safely flee thebuilding when the fire started just after 3 a.m.
It was not immediately clear what caused the fast-moving blaze,which severely damaged the three-story motel. About 50 residentsdisplaced by the fire were expected to be allowed back in laterSunday to retrieve their belongings, but it was not known wherethey would be relocated.
Information about the person killed in the fire was notimmediately disclosed.
The three officers - who suffered smoke inhalation - were takento Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood, where they were treated andreleased later Sunday.
