A young girl had to receive stitches after a vicious dog attack in Pelham Bay.
According to the girl's mom, Dara Grillo, they were cornered in the entranceway of her Roberts Avenue apartment building by a loose pit bull Wednesday afternoon.
Grillo says she struggled to help her daughter, Isabella Tropea, while also trying to protect her infant son.
A man was able to pull the pit bull off Isabella, but she was bitten in the face.
The dog is now in the hands of Animal Care and Control.
