A 48-year-old man died Monday after he was pinned under a forklift at a Parsippany business, police said.

Parsippany police said officers responded around 4:17 p.m. to a 911 call reporting a man trapped under a forklift at a business at 792 Edwards Road.

Responding officers found the man unresponsive and trapped under the forklift. Police said officers used a nearby floor jack to remove the forklift, but the man had already died from his injuries.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, but the death is not currently suspected to be criminal in nature.
